Paddles Up!
Once again. This year I'll be a part of the Elephant & Castle Booze Cruise Dragon Boat Team ("E&C"). After being off the water since September, I'm just itching to jump on back into it. Although, I don't really miss the False Creek water at all. But who can really blame me. Have you seen what goes in there?
The goals for this year are simple as always. Our mantra is Drink, Paddle, and Party. Granted Elephant and Castle has always had a reputation for having fun and paddling hard at every festival, I take pride in my team for sponsoring junior teams such as Raceface. Raceface was a junior team that E&C took under its wing. E&C introduced them to the sport and supported their growth as a team. They are a great bunch of kids. I mean young adults just incase any of Raceface reads this.
